About the position

SAIC is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to design, deploy, operate, and maintain secure cloud environments. This role is crucial for enabling development teams to efficiently deliver features while ensuring the resilience and security of multi-cloud infrastructures. The position is remote for the right candidate and requires a Public Trust clearance to start, with the potential for a full Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and SRE principles.
• Maintain and develop automation and continuous build/integration/deployment infrastructure for multiple environments; write, build, and deploy scripts.
• Enable observability and resilience throughout multi-cloud landing zones and Dev/Test/Prod environments.
• Support implementation of security policies, standards, guidelines, and governance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience, or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance to start and the ability to get a full Secret clearance.
• Proven background working in cloud environments with experience in Agile methodologies including Scrum or Kanban.
• Experience with Agile collaboration tools such as Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, Artifactory).
• Knowledge of CSPs including Azure, AWS, or OCI.
• Experience with containerization and container management using Kubernetes and Helm.
• Proficiency in PowerShell or Bash scripting.
• Experience with security automation tools such as SAST and DAST.
• Familiarity with cyber tools like Aviatrix, Orca, Splunk, Qmulous, and STIG scanner.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of Git, branching strategies, GitFlow, and/or GitHub Flow.
• Understanding of cloud high availability and scalability best practices and architectures.
