About the position

The Senior Azure Cloud Engineer position at Cognizant North America is designed for an experienced cloud engineer with a strong background in Azure, GITHUB, and Docker. This role involves leading the design and implementation of scalable and secure cloud solutions, mentoring junior developers, and collaborating with multi-functional teams to achieve project goals. The position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for both remote and on-site work, with no travel required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable and secure solutions using Azure Platform.
• Be responsible for the integration and deployment processes using Docker to ensure seamless operations.
• Share a point of view in GITHUB for version control and collaborative development.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to define and achieve project goals.
• Ensure that architectural solutions meet performance scalability and security requirements.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Develop and maintain user documentation for architecture and design decisions.
• Participate in the evaluation and selection of new technologies and tools.
• Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on standard methodologies.
• Fix and resolve sophisticated technical issues in a timely manner.
• Work closely with partners to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Supply to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, specifically with Azure Platform.
• Strong technical skills in GITHUB and Docker.
• Experience in designing and implementing scalable solutions.
• Proficiency in version control and collaborative development using GITHUB.
• Good understanding of containerization and deployment processes with Docker.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to solve complex issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
• Strong documentation skills for technical architecture and design decisions.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
