About the position

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, specifically with Microsoft Azure, and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of cloud services, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. As a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our cloud infrastructure is robust, secure, and scalable to meet the needs of our organization and its clients. You will be expected to stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing and apply this knowledge to improve our cloud architecture and services. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our cloud operations, making this a key position within our technology team.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions using Microsoft Azure.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, and security teams to define and implement cloud architecture best practices.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud resources to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts using tools such as ARM templates and Terraform.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud computing, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure services, including but not limited to: Azure Networking, Identity, Landing Zones, Azure Advisor, Azure Policy, Microsoft Cost Management.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as C#, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Azure certifications, such as Azure Administrator, Azure Developer, or Azure Solutions Architect.
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices and experience implementing security measures in a cloud environment.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools.
