About the position

The position involves designing cloud-based system architectures utilizing Azure Cloud technologies and services, along with software, hardware, and communication solutions. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with open systems standards, evaluating compatibility with agency architectures, and addressing issues related to cloud connectivity and platform architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design Cloud-based system architectures that include Azure Cloud technologies and services.
• Ensure architectures comply with open systems standards relevant to the client's environment.
• Evaluate compatibility of information system development efforts with agency architectures and recommend adjustments as necessary.
• Evaluate problems of Cloud connectivity, Cloud platform architecture, workflow, organization, and planning, and develop appropriate corrective actions.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Strong experience in one or more architecture domains (e.g. business architecture, solutions architecture, application architecture).
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of cloud technology, including SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS.
• Experience working in the public cloud.
• Proven background in cloud environments with knowledge in Agile methodologies, collaboration tools, CI/CD tools, CSPs, containerization, security automation, and cloud best practices.
• Ability to meet with customers to gather and understand business requirements.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new situations and changing priorities.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
