About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position is hybrid, allowing for a blend of remote and on-site work, and is a contract-to-hire opportunity with an expected duration of 6+ months. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our cloud infrastructure while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business needs. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Azure services to architect and deploy scalable cloud solutions. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and availability. Your ability to work with DevOps practices and tools will be crucial in automating deployments and managing CI/CD pipelines. Additionally, you will provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team. As a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in driving cloud adoption and transformation initiatives within the organization. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Your strong communication skills will be essential in articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud services.
  • Automate deployments and manage CI/CD pipelines using DevOps practices.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
  • Drive cloud adoption and transformation initiatives within the organization.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure services and architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices.
  • Experience with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell or Azure CLI.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and related tools.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and Azure networking services.
  • Certifications in Azure (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer).
