About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Cloud Cybersecurity Product Security Specialist to join our dynamic cybersecurity team. This hybrid role involves working closely with application developers, architects, and security teams to ensure secure application design and development in Azure environments. The ideal candidate will guide security best practices in a regulated banking organization, mentor junior team members, and drive secure development practices across teams.

Responsibilities

• Work day-to-day with developers and DevOps teams to integrate security into the application lifecycle.
• Lead the development and implementation of secure coding and development practices.
• Provide deep technical guidance on Azure cloud security, including IAM, encryption, and network security.
• Act as a player-coach by mentoring junior security engineers and developers.
• Ensure all application development meets banking industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks throughout the application development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is built into cloud solutions.
• Champion the use of automation in security testing and DevSecOps practices.
• Develop response protocols for application security incidents and manage incident resolution.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging security threats and regulatory changes.

Requirements

• Minimum of an Associate's degree and 8 years' systems analysis/application development experience, or a combined minimum of 10 years' higher education and/or work experience with at least 8 years in systems analysis/application development.
• Familiarity with application development software and hardware platforms.
• Proficiency with personal computers and project management software.
• Excellent problem-solving, verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
