Kforce is seeking a Remote Senior Azure SQL/Cosmos Data Architect to join our client’s team. This role is pivotal in developing and maintaining database structures that support business requirements. The Senior Azure SQL/Cosmos Data Architect will engage in hands-on development, focusing on Azure SQL and Cosmos DB, where they will be responsible for developing and unit testing database code. This position requires a deep understanding of database design principles, including the ability to utilize first, second, or third normalized forms as necessary to meet the needs of the business. In addition to database development, the architect will create, deploy, and maintain Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines, ensuring that data flows efficiently and effectively through the system. Monitoring database performance is a critical aspect of this role, as the architect will need to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to guarantee scalable and reliable database operations in a production environment. The architect will also perform complex data analysis, document findings, and prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling. Collaboration is key in this role, as the Senior Azure SQL/Cosmos Data Architect will work closely with application developers and data analysts who will be consuming the data. This position also involves maintaining technical support, documentation, and administration of databases, ensuring that all systems are running smoothly and efficiently. The architect will play a direct role in building and supporting complex data ingestion processes, combining raw data from various external sources to meet the organization’s data needs.
