About the position

The Senior Back-End Developer at Liviniti plays a pivotal role in driving technological advancement within the organization. This position entails ensuring the highest standards and adherence to industry best practices while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. The developer transforms business requirements into robust technical solutions, leveraging the .NET stack and Azure platform to architect and optimize database structures. They implement backend functionalities and business logic, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, particularly HIPAA regulations, and safeguarding Protected Health Information (PHI).

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Architect and optimize database structures to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval for the adjudication system.
  • Implement backend functionalities and business logic to support the business processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Advise leadership and technology team on project status and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
  • Abide by all obligations under HIPAA related to Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Attend, complete, and demonstrate competency in all required HIPAA Training offered by the company.

Requirements

  • Ten years of software engineering experience.
  • Four years of software engineering experience in a healthcare finance setting, preferred.
  • Visual Studio proficiency.
  • C# programming skills.
  • SQL Server stored procedures, functions, and general administration experience.
  • Experience with Git Repositories.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams.
  • Understanding and some experience in Figma.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps build pipelines and releases.
  • Ability to work with external APIs for internal business processes.
  • Mentoring junior developers on cost-effective development practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and troubleshoot problems in unknown situations.
  • Ability to work independently and make logical business decisions with general guidance.
  • Working knowledge of prescription claim electronic data interchange and the overall reimbursement cycle for pharmacies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Direct experience in the healthcare finance field, especially in the management of self-funded medical benefit plans or healthcare provider connectivity.
  • Working knowledge of MediSpan drug data.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy management, especially around adjudication, formularies, and pricing.
