About the position

The Senior Backend Developer (C#) role involves enhancing market data operations, managing data flows, and ensuring data quality for trading and analytical systems. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders to onboard and manage market data feeds while overseeing system integration and continuous improvement in market data technologies.

Responsibilities

• Enhancements to Market Data Operations, improving systems and processes for market data lifecycle.
• Manage data flows to optimize data pipelines and infrastructure for large volumes of market data.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to onboard new market data feeds and manage existing ones.
• Implement and maintain data quality standards and processes, monitoring data integrity.
• Oversee the integration of market data with trading platforms, analytics tools, and reporting systems.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in market data technologies.

Requirements

• 6+ years of relevant experience in backend development.
• Proficient in creating REST Web Services using C#.
• Thorough understanding of asynchronous mechanisms in modern .NET development.
• Experience building APIs and proficiency in .NET Framework, C#, WebApi, and MS SQL.
• Experience with Git source code management.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to ethical standards.
• Ability to create self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components.
• Practice clean coding practices (SOLID, continuous refactoring, testing).
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced Agile environment.
• Fluency in operating with databases and writing extensive unit tests using automated TDD tasks.
• Experience in creating configuration, build, and test scripts for Continuous Integration environments.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with financial market data management.
• Exposure to gRPC binary protocol.
• Exposure to NoSQL databases.
• Experience with containerized deployments using Docker, OpenShift, etc.
