About the position

As a Senior Backend Software Engineer at TikTok, you will be responsible for building machine learning solutions that address and mitigate business risks associated with TikTok products and platforms. This role focuses on developing robust modeling infrastructures and LLM applications to enhance risk management and operational efficiency within the ML Platform team.

Responsibilities

• Build machine learning solutions to respond to and mitigate business risks in TikTok products/platforms.
• Develop modeling infrastructures, LLM applications, labels, features, and algorithms to enhance robustness and automation.
• Uplevel risk machine learning excellence focusing on privacy, compliance, interpretability, and risk perception.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other relevant machine-learning-heavy majors.
• Solid coding skills and ability to build large-scale systems.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Golang, Java, C++, or Rust.

Nice-to-haves

• 3 years of industry experience in a software development environment.
• Familiarity with machine learning infrastructure, LLM applications, or real-time stream computing systems.
• Strong machine learning background with proficiency or publications in modern machine learning theories and applications.
