LMI is seeking a skilled Software Architect to support a client in the Colorado Springs, CO area. Responsibilities
- Work directly with the architect, software developers, engineers, and data analysts to expand an existing framework of the enterprise version of core modeling and simulation (M&S) software.
- Rapidly develop code using best practices and test-driven-development in a fast-paced environment.
- Expand existing code for micro-services in a distributed, elastic environment.
- Break complex systems down into simple services for simulation and modeling of scenarios.
- Collaborate with other engineers to leverage feature development across projects.
- Actively participate in all agile sprint ceremonies.
- Demonstrate developments to customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 12 years of professional development experience or master's degree in a STEM field with 8-10 years of professional development experience.
- Proven experience in an agile environment.
- Agile software development experience, with the ability to develop products both collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work across disciplines.
- Ability to give and take feedback.
- Self-start, follow-through, complete projects from start to finish.
- Possess or be willing to be processed for a U.S. Government security clearance at the TS level.
Nice-to-haves
- Advanced degree in related discipline
- Space domain experience.
- Experience using both Scrum and Kanban
- Java: 3 years' experience
- Python: 3 years' experience
- TypeScript: 3 years' experience
- Experience with Simulation software is preferred.
