About the position
As a Senior Web Backend Developer at Tafi and Daz 3D, you will lead the development of web backend systems, ensuring the successful execution of backend initiatives while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. This role involves designing scalable solutions, optimizing performance, and collaborating with various stakeholders to meet product requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of scalable and robust web backend solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Design and optimize databases for performance and scalability.
- Integrate third-party services and APIs.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance.
- Innovate by modernizing and scaling backend activities in the organization.
- Stay informed of emerging web backend technologies and integrate improvements into our backend systems.
- Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure backend solutions meet product requirements and quality standards.
- Identify, escalate, and mitigate risks to the business emerging from backend engineering initiatives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in web backend development or application delivery.
- Proven ability to oversee the web backend development process from concept to deployment of complex applications.
- Proven experience architecting a solution from the ground up.
- Prior agency or true start-up experience.
- Strong understanding of backend development technologies such as App Engine, Golang.
- Experience with database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Datastore, or similar.
- Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to share knowledge with diverse stakeholders.
Nice-to-haves
- Degree in computer science, software engineering, or related discipline.
- Certifications in: CSPO, CSM, ITIL, PMP/Scrum.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Understanding of security best practices and secure coding principles.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
