About the position

The Senior BI Developer role is a pivotal position within the Healthcare/NHS industry, focusing on enhancing and maintaining clinical systems and operations. This position is responsible for optimizing EPIC reporting metrics and tools, particularly for the Epic Cadence and Epic Professional Billing modules, while working in a limited hybrid capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Design and create robust systems and reports to support patient care, revenue cycle, and strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in maintaining the overall integrity of the CDM (Charge Master), focusing on accuracy, revenue cycle integrity, and compliance with payer requirements.
  • Develop and manage Radar dashboards, Reporting Workbench reports, Crystal reports, Tableau reports, operational tools, and custom SQL metrics.
  • Audit peer reports and review upgrade documentation related to Clarity features and Crystal reporting to determine the best implementation changes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for self-service and other analysis and reporting tools such as Tableau, Radar Dashboards, Reporting Workbench, Power BI, etc.
  • Evaluate SSIS ETL's to troubleshoot automated reporting build between systems.
  • Maintain highly effective partnerships with IT, Analytic partners, Finance, Operations, Population Health.
  • Assist in maintaining the Analytics Catalog and modify existing reporting as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior BI Developer in the healthcare industry for a minimum of five years.
  • Strong proficiency in BusinessObjects Technologies, Database, Analytics, Business Intelligence (BI), Business Intelligence Technologies.
  • Demonstrable experience in drafting Business Requirement Documents and working with Business Users.
  • Proficiency in using Crystal Reports and Power BI tools.
  • Certification in Epic is highly preferred.
  • Solid experience in working with Microsoft SQL is required.
  • Ability to translate complex data into understandable reports or dashboards.
  • Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations within the healthcare industry is preferred.
