About the position

The Senior BI Product Owner at Abbott plays a crucial role in leading cross-functional teams to enhance data management and reporting practices using Business Intelligence (BI) tools. This position involves collaborating with various departments, including Commercial Operations, Finance, Marketing, and IT, to ensure that data solutions meet organizational standards and support decision-making processes. The role requires a strategic mindset to identify new data sources and analytics opportunities, manage the BI product lifecycle, and drive initiatives that align with the company's objectives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate efforts in data management and reporting best practices with BI tools across cross-functional teams.
• Define needs and implement solutions in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Leverage existing infrastructure to align the Business Intelligence Strategy with RMDx initiatives.
• Identify new data sources and analytics opportunities to support leadership decision-making.
• Manage the BI product lifecycle, including sourcing, design, build, release, and production support.
• Collaborate with other Product Owners to enhance product ownership and engagement with business domain users.
• Support and prioritize multiple projects effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in product management or managing application lifecycle from ideation to production and support.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI.
• Experience working in Agile, DevOps, and Cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems such as SFDC or Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
• Understanding of Sales, financial, and Marketing Data.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the Health Care/Life sciences industry.
• Experience using Azure and PowerBI.
• Consulting/advisory mindset.
• Product Management or product design experience for business intelligence (BI) products.
• Experience with Lean Product Management and User-Centered Design methodologies.
