About the position

Vestmark's Outsourced Services (VOS) is looking for a Senior Billing Analyst to join their rapidly expanding team! In this role with the VOS Billing team, you'll engage directly with clients to collect billing data, analyze client information, and assist in maintaining back-office systems. The analyst will play a crucial role in establishing accurate and scalable billing service protocols. This hands-on position involves daily processing and client interaction, ensuring seamless coordination with internal operations and technology teams to effectively support VOS clients.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of team processes, sponsor relationships, and client support systems.
  • Calculate and verify client fees accurately.
  • Disseminate fee information as required.
  • Conduct fee reconciliations for clients.
  • Analyze data using manual manipulation of billing spreadsheets.
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts billable tasks.
  • Collaborate with finance and other departments to facilitate billing operations.
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Assist in onboarding new clients.
  • Participate in testing system functionality for routine platform upgrades.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a billing role.
  • Previous experience with custodial business systems and billing systems.
  • Proficiency in advanced desktop skills, particularly Excel and Power BI.
  • Ability to understand client contracts and billing language.
  • Familiarity with securities and corporate actions processing.
  • Knowledge of separately managed accounts.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, adept at resolving issues quickly and innovatively.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding customer service orientation and capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience collaborating in cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated and capable of making informed decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team.
