About the position
The Senior Biostatistician at BryceTech will support BARDA's mission to enhance public health security and emergency preparedness. This role involves providing advanced statistical consulting and data analyses for clinical programs, serving as a subject matter expert, and collaborating with project coordination teams and clinical studies.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert and provide technical advice on statistical methods for clinical studies.
- Participate in planning, design, development, and execution of clinical trial protocols.
- Develop and review statistical analysis plans for clinical studies.
- Consult and collaborate with other scientists on study design, data analysis, and interpretation of results.
- Conduct statistical simulations for evaluating novel clinical trial designs.
- Evaluate data quality and perform statistical edit checks of source data.
- Produce and validate statistical analyses and outputs for clinical studies.
- Evaluate and ensure CDISC compliance of study tabulation and analysis data files.
- Write specifications and statistical programs to generate analysis datasets, tables, listings, and figures.
- Develop and modify statistical programs to extract, integrate, and tabulate statistical data.
- Identify and acquire data sources; evaluate data quality and identify potential data problems.
- Prepare data transfer agreements and coordinate data transfer activities.
- Perform additional activities and duties as requested.
Requirements
- PhD in Statistics, computer science, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in biostatistics.
- Experience in randomized clinical trials.
- Experience in both CRO and pharma preferred.
- Strong programming skills in SAS and R.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills.
