About the position
The Senior Biostatistician for SPH HSPP at Brown University will leverage both technical and managerial skills to facilitate the design, conduct, management, and analysis of various research projects and clinical trials. This role involves taking a leadership position in project operations alongside Principal Investigators, providing essential support in study design, supervision, programming, analysis, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the design and conduct of research projects and clinical trials.
- Provide leadership in project operations in conjunction with Principal Investigators.
- Offer study design, supervision, programming, analysis, and reporting support.
- Manage multiple tasks and set priorities to meet deadlines.
- Analyze and manage large complex data sets, including health care claims.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, or a relevant field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced SAS programming knowledge and experience.
- Proficiency in R and SQL; proficiency in SPSS or Stata is helpful but not necessary.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of the US Healthcare System.
- Advanced data management and analysis abilities.
- Excellent judgment and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
