About the position

NVIDIA is seeking a versatile engineer to join the HW ArchDev team within the Silicon Solutions Group. This role involves architecting, designing, and integrating system-level boot flows and features for NVIDIA's silicon designs, collaborating with various teams throughout the product lifecycle. The engineer will lead efforts in system-level boot architecture, productization, and debugging, while also defining roadmaps based on industry trends and product feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and integrate system level boot flows, sequences, policies, and features for NVIDIA's silicon designs.
  • Collaborate with system architecture, power architecture, ASIC, SW/FW, validation, and production teams throughout the product life cycle.
  • Lead system level boot architecture, design, productization, debug, and deployment.
  • Define roadmaps by tracking industry/market trends, collecting current product feedback, prototyping innovations, and carrying out data driven tradeoff analysis.
  • Support silicon bring-up, validation, and debug; coordinate product level feature deployment; lead efforts to address customer issues.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years in ASIC design, reset/boot architecture, silicon validation/debug, or related areas.
  • Strong fundamentals on digital design, boot/reset architecture, low power features, clocking, timing, noise, micro-architecture, high-speed IO.
  • Deep understanding of SW, FW, and HW interaction.
  • Helpful to have prior experience in silicon validation, bringup, and debug.
  • Hands-on lab experience (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers) is a plus.
  • Basic programming and scripting skills such as C/C++, Python, Perl.
  • Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in silicon validation, bringup, and debug.
  • Hands-on lab experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
