About the position

The Senior Brand Manager at DIO will spearhead the omnichannel brand strategy for a new line of ready-to-drink, high-ABV canned cocktails. This role is designed for a cocktail enthusiast with a strong marketing background in the beverage industry, particularly spirits. The position involves managing all key customer touchpoints, igniting a passionate customer base, and executing major marketing campaigns under the direction of the CEO.

Responsibilities

  • Own all aspects of the brand's marketing and implementation across channels, including content production, communication strategy, public relations, events, and partnerships.
  • Ideate, plan, and develop omnichannel marketing campaigns (new product launches, new retailer launches, and seasonal promotions) while leading coordination cross-functionally with the team on product development, creative, and supply chain to ensure smooth execution.
  • Lead social media strategy development and execution, creating engaging content optimized for SEO and driving social media presence.
  • Support sales and digital marketing teams by creating innovative point-of-sale and in-store experiences, preparing presentations and producing brand-consistent digital assets.
  • Inform the evolution of the brand story and ensure consistency across all channels as the company expands into new products and markets.
  • Expand brand activations through memorable moments for customers and retailers, including events, tastings, out-of-home (OOH) campaigns and cross-brand partnerships.
  • Manage influencer and brand ambassador relationships aligned with the brand's values, coordinating collaborations, product gifting, and campaign approvals.
  • Develop PR strategies, create press releases, and pitch stories to enhance brand visibility; cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
  • Track and measure the success of campaigns using analytics tools, generate KPI reports, and provide data-driven recommendations to optimize marketing strategies.

Requirements

  • Based in NYC
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of marketing experience in the beverage industry (alcohol or start-up experience preferred)
  • Proven experience in brand marketing with a focus on content creation, social media, and press relations.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to present ideas clearly to diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated success managing digital campaigns across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest).
  • Proficiency with marketing tools like Shopify, Klaviyo, GA, Facebook Analytics, and Canva (Photoshop a plus).
  • Highly analytical and strategic, with the ability to set performance goals, KPIs, and analyze metrics.
  • Creative mindset with a strong eye for brand-forward and disruptive content design.
  • Experience creating original content from ideation through to execution.
  • Strong negotiation and deal-making skills; adept at building relationships and closing deals.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable wearing multiple hats in a flexible startup environment.
  • Hands-on and willing to assist with various tasks, including logistical support when needed.
  • Experience in high-growth startups or new-to-market brands is a plus.
