About the position

The Senior Business Analyst for Commercial Lines Insurance will play a crucial role in understanding and enhancing business operations related to policy administration systems. This position requires a blend of business acumen and technical knowledge to support the implementation of a new policy administration system, ensuring that business functionality is maximized while maintaining system performance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct requirements analysis, developing and documenting both business requirements and detailed specifications.
• Develop test strategy including test plan(s) and perform test execution and problem resolution.
• Provide project management oversight when required, including oversight of company, external clients, and outside resources.
• Manage and control large and/or complex projects related to the relevant business area to ensure quality and timely deliverables.
• Analyze requests for modifications and/or enhancements and subsequently define and prepare alternative solutions to business needs.
• Analyze, design, test, and implement modifications and/or enhancements to fulfill business needs.
• Support internal and external clients by analyzing, researching, and providing solutions to inquiries relating to system entry, coding, procedures, user manuals, etc.
• Keep current with Property & Casualty Insurance knowledge and industry technology.

Requirements

• Commercial Lines Property & Casualty Lines of Business experience required
• Experienced Business Analyst with Project Management/SCRUM experience
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Experienced with Policy & Claims Administration Systems (OneShield, a plus)
• Experienced in implementing Premium and Claims Interfaces
• Strong analytical skills geared toward understanding application workflows and development
• Strong skills with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, JIRA
