About the position

The Senior Business Analyst will support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM-IO) program by providing solutions for high-priority business goals and strategic technical decisions. This role involves translating business processes into requirements, developing communication briefings for VA leadership, and ensuring stakeholder consensus on proposed solutions. The analyst will also document and manage issues related to IT applications and projects, evaluate applications, and propose recommendations based on best practices and policy decisions.

Responsibilities

• Translate business processes into requirements.
• Develop communication briefings for VA leadership and external stakeholders.
• Build stakeholder consensus and track timelines and milestones.
• Develop business cases, requirements, use cases, and operational procedures.
• Document and manage issues and actions for IT applications and projects.
• Evaluate applications and IT environments, analyzing gaps between current and desired states.
• Propose recommendations based on existing and new products, industry best practices, and policy decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional work experience.
• Experience in coordinating, scheduling, and identifying deployment activities.
• Experience in identifying scheduling and coordination issues.
• Experience coordinating with developers, testers, site staff, and installation staff.
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or other technical discipline, or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
