About the position

The Senior Business Analyst in the Master Data Office at Ross will play a crucial role in enhancing data governance and operational processes across the organization. This position involves acting as a point of contact for various business departments, managing requests related to master data, and ensuring compliance with data governance standards. The analyst will also contribute to process improvements and support the adoption of best practices within the Master Data Management framework.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the point of contact for multiple business departments, addressing requests and troubleshooting issues.
  • Analyze data to provide insights and enhance business visibility.
  • Ensure governance and process documents are updated based on changing requirements.
  • Manage workflow and requests in a Master Data Management Tool, executing change requests effectively.
  • Identify solutions for better servicing the business and participate in enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Promote adoption of data governance processes through workshops and training.
  • Verify compliance with Master Data Management processes and escalate non-compliance issues.
  • Lead day-to-day operations of digital asset management, ensuring optimal value for the organization.
  • Execute reports and present findings to leadership regarding data updates and governance.
  • Build and maintain documentation, including best practices for business users.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in Retail or IT.
  • Prior experience in Data Governance and Administration preferred.
  • Experience with Bynder or equivalent is a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge of business process documentation, especially in Merchandising, IT, or Finance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively between business and IT stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of productivity software, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to follow established practices and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build working relationships.
