About the position

Citi is seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst and Product Manager for its Fixed Income - Spread Products (SP) Technology team that serves the Whole Loan Financing and Securitization transactions. This role is an excellent opportunity for a talented professional who possesses a balance of technical and business acumen to partner with the business and guide the development of end-to-end flow on lending transactions. The candidate will be a core member of the technology team responsible for leading product technology and implementing projects by collaborating with multiple business and operations groups, as well as application owners. This position offers exposure to global financing and securitization processes, as well as wholesale credit risk processes, while helping to resolve the technology challenges faced by the business. The responsibilities of this role include developing creative technical solutions to meet business needs and managing complex, high-volume applications in partnership with business partners and stakeholders. The Business Analyst will work closely with the business, product development team, and engineers across multiple global regions to propose a target state architecture that aligns with business needs and provides efficient technology solutions. Additionally, the role involves leading the formulation of strategies and processes for the Product Roadmap, Development, and Governance, while contributing to defining standards and new automation initiatives. The successful candidate will provide advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business, filtering, prioritizing, and validating potentially complex material from multiple sources. They will work among a team of committed individuals to solicit and document detailed and thorough system and function requirements (BRD), including various workflows to enhance the business technology platform. Transitioning requirements to QA teams across multiple global regions, assisting in identifying test scenarios, and working with business users to execute UAT, conduct business user training, and manage technology implementation are also key responsibilities. The Business Analyst will deliver materials and presentations to Senior Management and application owners, keeping key stakeholders informed about project health. Furthermore, they will record and organize enhancement requests and issues in JIRA, working with stakeholders on prioritization. It is crucial for the candidate to appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, and applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop creative technical solutions to meet business needs and manage complex, high-volume applications in partnership with business partners and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 6 + years of experience in business analysis or systems analysis
  • Demonstrated expertise in presenting and using planning tools
  • Proven diplomatic and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to manage complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact by weighing various action plans and balancing potentially conflicting needs
  • Superb (data driven) analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Technical skillsets to query and analyze data through SQL, and excellent with Excel, Word, Project, Visio, and PowerPoint products
  • Experience with wholesale credit risk or wholesale lending transactions, a plus
  • Experience with loan origination and securitization process, LoanIQ experience, a plus
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
