About the position

The Senior Business Analyst - Risk, Liability & Claims at Providence is responsible for providing essential reports and analyses to stakeholders, serving as a subject matter expert in risk and claims data. This role involves synthesizing complex data into understandable insights, developing strategic tools and resources for leadership, and engaging in innovative brainstorming sessions to enhance risk data management and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide required reports and analysis to stakeholders on a scheduled basis.
• Serve as a risk/claims data consultant and subject matter expert.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare leadership and front-line caregivers.
• Synthesize complex risk data into understandable outputs.
• Develop risk and claims based strategic insights, tools, resources, and reports for leadership consumption.
• Gain actionable insights from internal tools and other claims data sources to provide thought leadership to department leaders.
• Engage in brainstorming sessions focused on innovating and improving risk data management and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Health Informatics, BSE, BBA, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field -OR- equivalent education and experience.
• 4+ years of experience communicating with healthcare leadership and front-line caregivers.
• 2+ years of experience working with healthcare claims and/or electronic medical record billing data.

Nice-to-haves

• 2+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries.
• 2+ years of management consulting or technical consulting experience.
