About the position

As a Senior Business Analyst at 1-800 Contacts, you will be instrumental in driving innovation and enhancing customer experiences through data analysis and insights. This role requires advanced technical and analytical skills to support business performance and implement new initiatives. You will collaborate with product and marketing leaders to identify opportunities and create data-driven recommendations that align with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance payment methods to enhance customer experience.
• Optimize subscription models to improve user retention.
• Understand online exam flows to increase customer flexibility without disrupting ease of ordering contacts.
• Use SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various databases.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends and actionable insights.
• Design interactive dashboards and visualizations in Tableau for data presentation.
• Collaborate with team members to document and prioritize business requirements.
• Validate reporting data against source systems for accuracy.
• Present findings and recommendations to multi-functional teams and senior management.
• Collaborate with product teams to define metrics and establish benchmarks.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure data accuracy and implement data stories.
• Articulate analysis and recommendations to partners at various organizational levels.
• Align analytics initiatives with overall business objectives.
• Provide thought leadership and mentorship in data analytics processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience in a data analyst role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience with Adobe Analytics and Databricks is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable engaging with members at all levels of the organization.
