About the position

National Grid is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for its Clean Energy team, responsible for aiding in the migration of the legacy InDemand system to the new Clean Energy 2.0 system. This role involves translating business requirements into application requests, managing support and enhancement tickets, and collaborating with the CE Team to design solutions that meet business needs while minimizing repetitive work.

Responsibilities

  • Develop business relationships with the business team, product ambassadors, and the Support squad assigned.
  • Translate detailed business requirements into meaningful features and user stories in collaboration with Business and IT.
  • Review business operations to identify areas of improvement and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Lead discussions on complex, cross-functional topics involving multiple systems or stakeholders, delivering clear requirements.
  • Participate in product and system design discussions, providing insights to develop robust and scalable solutions.
  • Ensure quality of delivered solutions by participating in user acceptance testing.
  • Develop and maintain Support Management reports and dashboards for the CE Team and stakeholders, ensuring visibility of support activities and KPIs.
  • Utilize data platforms and analytical tools to convert data into actionable insights.
  • Stay updated with industry Salesforce best practices and emerging technologies to influence product and system design discussions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of Business analysis and product experience.
  • Understanding of CRM, sales funnels, and fulfillment workflows.
  • Excellent communication, writing, presenting, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, including planning, organizing, problem solving and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and data interpretation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
  • Experience with creating PowerBI reports and/or SQL queries.
  • Experience making business process recommendations and influencing stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Salesforce Business Analyst Credential.
  • Experience with Salesforce implementation projects / Salesforce Energy & Utilities Cloud.
  • Familiarity with Confluence, and JIRA / JIRA Align.
  • Knowledge of digital product implementation fundamentals and Agile Safe methodologies.
  • Experience with Energy Efficiency or other Clean Energy Products.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $94,000 - $111,000 in New York and $106,000 - $125,000 in Massachusetts, commensurate with location and experience.
