About the position

The Senior Business Analyst will lead business transformation processes within the information technology sector of the Logistic/Trading industry. This role requires collaboration with business units and clients to deliver effective IT solutions, utilizing established project management methodologies and SDLC practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead corporate IT business transformation processes and leverage established SDLC and project management methodology.
  • Work closely with assigned business units and clients, understanding their needs, analyzing the options, and providing resourceful business IT solutions.
  • Act independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced corporate environment and deliver on deadlines.
  • Motivate and coach project team members, including developers, project managers/coordinators, IT staff, and management in SDLC.
  • Partner with the business units and internal teams to lead core program initiatives.
  • Be responsible for negotiating scope and representing the IT to different business units and stakeholders.
  • Lead the identification of project or program purpose, scope, deliverables, benefits, priority, stakeholders, and success criteria.
  • Collaborate with other Project Managers, business analysts, subject matter experts, and project sponsors to determine optimal solution options as it relates to project scope.
  • Develop strategic communication plans and present status, risks, costs, and goals to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and participate in the vetting of 3rd party vendors throughout the RFP/SOW process.
  • Recommend process improvements both in business processes and in the SDLC.
  • Ensure staffing and training requirements are met to ensure a seamless turnover to services support team post-implementation.
  • Perform job duties with minimal supervision and mentor less experienced team members.

Requirements

  • Must hold a valid PMP Certification
  • Proven experience in Agile SDLC
  • Proficient in SDLC Methodology
  • Strong leadership skills to manage and lead project teams
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and team members
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving skills to overcome project obstacles
  • Proven track record in successfully completing projects within the utilities/infrastructure industry
  • Advanced knowledge in project management tools and software
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills for efficient project planning
  • Strong decision-making skills to make sound judgments during the project lifecycle
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets effectively
  • Excellent negotiation skills to handle contracts and agreements
  • Willingness to stay updated with the latest trends in project management and the utilities/infrastructure industry.
