About the position

As a member of the Health and Risk Solutions Reporting COE Team at Sun Life, you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering accurate reporting that supports senior management decision-making. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage large datasets and contribute to data-related projects, ensuring that the reporting environment is efficient and effective. You will be empowered to identify process improvements and work collaboratively with IT and business partners to enhance reporting tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver daily and monthly reporting, along with ad hoc analysis to support business partners.
  • Create end user tools/reporting for analysis.
  • Collaborate with IT to establish a new reporting/data environment.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and articulate the rationale for changes.
  • Escalate issues while proposing options for resolution.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects as requested.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a reporting or data analysis role, utilizing large amounts of disparate data.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize concurrent deliverables and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment managing multiple priorities.
  • Healthcare/Insurance Industry experience is highly desired.
  • Familiarity with Claims Data preferred.
  • Technical skills in assembling/manipulating large datasets for analysis/reporting.
  • Experience developing interactive reporting that supports management decision-making.
  • Experience utilizing SSRS or similar SQL-based applications is a must.
  • Experience with Tableau.

  • Knowledge of data visualization best practices.
