About the position

The Senior Business Analyst at Gallagher Bassett will play a crucial role in supporting the Luminos product, an award-winning Risk Management Information System (RMIS). This position involves collaborating with a team of experienced business analysts and reporting directly to the Product Manager. The role focuses on analyzing business processes, identifying deficiencies, and implementing operational improvements to enhance production capabilities. The successful candidate will engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct user acceptance testing, and build strong relationships with business partners.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and define systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding.
• Analyze business processes, identify process deficiencies, research solutions, and oversee remediation of these deficiencies.
• Assist with the design and implementation of operational and system improvements to ensure effective and efficient production capabilities.
• Write and validate business requirements and conduct User Acceptance Testing with business stakeholders and vendors.
• Build trust in key business partner relationships.
• Create clarity in projects and work effectively through ambiguity.
• Handle complex business and technical environments across multiple platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 3+ years' experience in a Business Systems Analyst role; 5+ years preferred.
• 3+ years' experience working with SQL and Microsoft Excel; Power BI experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective interaction with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to self-motivate, set goals, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

• Experience working with disparate data sources and turning them into a unified solution.
• Flexibility in use of SDLC frameworks - Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid.
