About the position

The Business Analyst at Zillow Rentals plays a critical role in leveraging data analytics to drive strategic decision-making and enhance sales performance within the Operations team. This position involves collaborating closely with Sales and Support leadership teams to maintain data integrity, develop analytical capabilities, and provide valuable insights that contribute to the company's mission of transforming sales insights into actionable strategies.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements to boost sales efficiency.
• Offer actionable insights to enhance sales effectiveness.
• Contribute to the formulation of sales plans and objectives.
• Leverage cutting-edge reporting and BI technologies to elevate reporting quality.
• Conduct data cleansing and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability of analysis results.
• Design and generate customized reports and dashboards using BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Track key performance metrics, sales pipeline progression, and goal attainment for sales teams.
• Present findings and insights in clear, concise reports for stakeholders at various organizational levels.
• Partner with products and sales enablement teams around pricing strategies, sales channels, and market segments to optimize revenue generation.
• Evaluate sales performance against targets and recommend adjustments to sales strategies as needed.
• Create compelling visualizations, graphs, and charts to present complex sales data in a visually appealing format.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on goals, share insights, and coordinate sales strategies.

Requirements

• 5-plus years experience in a Sales Analyst or similar role.
• Extensive experience in sales data analysis.
• Strong leadership qualities in sales analytics.
• Ability to leverage data insights to drive sales growth and enhance business performance.
• Experience mentoring junior analysts.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced knowledge of SQL, Databricks, ETL, SFDC, Python, and Tableau.
