About the position

The Senior Business Development Manager at Click Therapeutics is responsible for generating and qualifying requests for proposals (RFPs) with pharmaceutical companies to create software-enhanced dosage forms of their drugs. This role involves building and maintaining a pipeline of business development opportunities, networking with key decision-makers, and collaborating with marketing teams to align strategies. The position is hybrid, requiring at least three days in the office each week, and is based in either New York City or Boston.

Responsibilities

• Identify decision-makers within target markets for RFP generation.
• Qualify leads to assess needs and business potential.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interactions with prospects in the CRM.
• Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of business development opportunities with pharma.
• Work closely with marketing teams to develop strategies for growing the software-enhanced drugs RFP pipeline.
• Participate in networking events, trade shows, webinars, and industry meetups to build relationships with key decision-makers.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential partners and customers.
• Align RFP generation activities with the company's overall marketing strategy.
• Coordinate with the BD team to transition qualified RFPs smoothly and effectively.
• Share market insights, competitor analysis, and customer feedback to refine product offerings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years of experience in the life sciences industry required.
• Proven experience in a similar RFP generation, pre-sales, or business development role.
• Strong understanding of the sales process and pipeline development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and lead generation tools.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
