About the position

The Senior Business Development Manager at Corbion will play a crucial role in driving the commercialization of new and existing product innovations within the biochemical industry. This position involves collaborating with sales and technical teams to manage the project pipeline, engage with key customers, and identify market opportunities across various segments such as home care, personal care, and animal health.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive the overall project pipeline and conversion cycle for the Americas.
  • Partner with Corbion's sales and functional teams and stakeholders to develop and maximize innovative new product and application concepts.
  • Actively engage key target customers to uncover insights into their needs and develop solutions to meet those needs with the industry teams.
  • Align with the Director of Business Development and regional sales team to execute efficiently on market opportunities.
  • Identify new opportunities, proactively prospect and follow up on leads to manage the overall regional development pipeline.
  • Analyze market trends, communicate competitive strategies and activities on a market and account level.
  • Represent Corbion at key trade shows and conferences, providing engaging, informative presentations that lead to expanded opportunities within the industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Business, Marketing or a technically relevant field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated success growing B2B raw material or ingredient sales in roles focused on product development or sales within the biochemical industry.
  • Experience connecting with key decision makers in existing and prospective accounts.
  • Proven communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
  • Driven, proactive, and able to learn quickly.
  • Creativity, and adaptability to changing situations.
  • Ability to travel an average of 40%.
