About the position

The Senior Business Development Manager at ABM Industries is responsible for developing new accounts and enhancing existing client relationships within a defined territory, focusing on Technical Solutions and Power. This role involves strategic selling, identifying client needs, and orchestrating the sales process to deliver effective solutions. The manager will work closely with prospective clients to assess their current service programs and implement tailored sales strategies, ensuring a smooth transition for new business.

Responsibilities

  • Seek out new business opportunities through cold calling and networking.
  • Identify, plan, and execute growth strategies for existing clients.
  • Partner with businesses to coauthor unique solutions.
  • Develop risk-mitigation strategies for customer budgeting.
  • Present pricing options for service and maintenance agreements.
  • Benchmark partner facilities to identify inefficiencies.
  • Maintain strong business partnerships to gain client trust.
  • Build financial and life cycle analyses to quantify value for customers.
  • Generate impactful proposals and deliver executive-level presentations.
  • Participate in sales training and convert training into sales results.
  • Coordinate with operations and sales teams to meet customer needs.
  • Track all sales activities in Salesforce.com.
  • Handle special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in power distribution sales, preferably in facilities services or business solution sales.
  • Ability to communicate and present effectively to groups and executives.
  • Leadership skills to manage the entire sales cycle.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with clients for add-on business.
  • Strong collaboration skills with individuals and teams.
  • Ability to write compelling sales proposals.
  • Well organized and able to manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
  • Motivated for professional and personal growth.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.com.
