About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Intelligent Automation Agile Product Owner who will act as a liaison between our lines of business and technology partners by facilitating the delivery of highly complex business problems to be solved with automated solutions. In the role of Agile Product Owner, you will work directly with subject matter experts within the lines of business to fully comprehend business processes and translate those processes into clear and concise user stories. You will create and groom the backlog for automation delivery and deployment, supporting automation testing and facilitating User Acceptance Testing. The ideal candidate will have the ability to wear multiple hats within the scrum team and remain flexible as focus and priorities shift. It is essential that the person in this role have superior communication skills. In this role, you will lead support functions or operations for multiple business groups and contribute to large scale strategic initiatives. You will ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of solutions, as well as manage the pipeline relating to assigned operations. Your responsibilities will include researching moderately complex business, operational, and strategic initiatives that require analytical skills, basic knowledge of organizational strategy and Business Execution, and an understanding of international business. You will work independently to make recommendations for support functions by providing support and leadership, and assist in the planning and execution of a variety of programs and initiatives that may include risk mitigation, efficiency, and customer experience. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will consult with team leaders in developing project plans, policies, and procedures. You will provide leadership in managing relationships and implementing programs, services, and initiatives with cross-functional business partners. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to drive and lead organizational change in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between business lines and technology partners to deliver automated solutions.
  • Work with subject matter experts to understand business processes and translate them into user stories.
  • Create and groom the backlog for automation delivery and deployment.
  • Support automation testing and facilitate User Acceptance Testing.
  • Lead support functions for multiple business groups and contribute to strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of solutions and manage the pipeline for assigned operations.
  • Research complex business, operational, and strategic initiatives requiring analytical skills.
  • Make independent recommendations for support functions and provide leadership.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 1+ year of automation experience.
  • Product Owner experience and/or certification.
  • Knowledgeable about technology development lifecycle and agile methodology (Scaled Agile).
  • Experience gathering user/business requirements and translating them into epics and user stories.
  • Backlog management skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Prior financial industry experience.
  • Ability to lead projects/initiatives with high risk and complexity.
  • Experience driving and leading organizational change in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of Robotic Process Automation and related tools such as UI Path.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle from design to production support.
  • Knowledge of project management principles including gap analysis and scope management.
  • Ability to think strategically and deliver business objectives.
  • Experience in problem analysis, solution implementation, and change management.
  • Prior experience in JIRA and Confluence.
