About the position

The Senior Business Financial Analyst at DTE Eng Corp Svcs LLC is responsible for performing business financial processes, including project evaluation, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance reporting. This role involves establishing both long-term and short-term financial plans, consolidating detailed financial budgets, and analyzing business performance to identify opportunities for improvement. The analyst will coordinate projects and teams while initiating continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex financial information to prepare budgets and forecasts.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance based on financial analysis.
• Report and analyze business performance, producing variance reports for various business units.
• Analyze capital projects and new business opportunities, developing alternatives and recommendations.
• Utilize Activity Based Cost models to analyze costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Monitor performance in relation to balanced scorecard measures.
• Implement continuous improvement and lean systems methodology to reduce costs.
• Create a positive working environment by supporting DTE Energy initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• Five years of financial experience in business, public accounting, or financial systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Concentration/major in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA, CMA, or MBA certification.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Experienced SAP user.
