About the position

The Senior Business Intelligence & Data Analyst at Bugcrowd plays a crucial role in the Revenue Operations team, providing insights and recommendations based on the analysis of large datasets. This position requires advanced analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively across various departments, leveraging BI tools like Tableau to transform complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau, Salesforce, Excel, or other tools to provide real-time insights to stakeholders.
  • Create comprehensive reports that summarize findings and present actionable recommendations to senior management.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business units and the BI team, ensuring a clear understanding of data requirements and business objectives.
  • Conduct workshops and meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify objectives, and communicate findings.
  • Provide ongoing support to stakeholders by addressing questions, offering insights, and guiding data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Establish and enforce data quality standards and governance policies to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data across BI platforms.
  • Collaborate with Business Systems and data management teams to streamline data integration processes and enhance data accessibility.
  • Evaluate and recommend new BI tools and technologies that can enhance data analysis capabilities and streamline reporting processes.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to team members and stakeholders on BI tools, data visualization techniques, and data modeling best practices.
  • Lead and manage BI projects from concept to execution, including defining project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met and deliverables align with business objectives.
  • Track and report project progress, identifying potential roadblocks and implementing solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Interpret data trends and make strategic recommendations that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive benchmarking to provide insights that inform business strategies.
  • Prepare and present findings to executive leadership, translating complex data into compelling narratives that support decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, computer science, mathematics, or related field.
  • 5+ years professional experience in business intelligence or data analysis.
  • Expertise in Excel, Salesforce, and BI tools such as Tableau or similar platforms.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and data mining.
  • Ability to develop complex data models.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in business, finance, computer science, mathematics, or related field.
  • 7+ years professional experience as a data analyst.
  • Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization software.
  • Experience working with large data sets.
  • Experience in supporting major functional areas within an organization, with experience in financial analysis and business metric reporting.
  • Experience with a fast-growing SaaS company.
  • Expertise reporting in systems: NetSuite, Salesforce.com, Tableau & Clari.
  • Ability to provide key insights and interactive analytics in near real-time to stakeholders and practitioners.
  • Knowledge and experience applying common analytics methods.
  • Strong working knowledge of data analysis and database engineering technologies.
