About the position

The Senior Business Intelligence Data Developer at ChristianaCare is responsible for partnering with business teams and IT to design and maintain data models that support campus-based data strategies. This role involves creating and maintaining data warehouse models, translating business requirements into actionable reports, and developing dashboards to inform decision-making. The position requires a strong focus on data quality, effective communication with stakeholders, and adherence to compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business teams and IT to design and maintain campus operations data models.
  • Create and maintain data warehouse/data mart data models applying appropriate BI standards.
  • Translate business requirements into specifications for reports and extracts from multiple data sources.
  • Develop and deploy reports using analytics platforms like Tableau and Alteryx.
  • Transform raw data into business information for decision-making.
  • Identify and recommend resources and analytical methods for performance improvement activities.
  • Develop dashboards and scorecards using advanced visualization techniques.
  • Interpret and present findings to system leaders and stakeholders clearly and consistently.
  • Analyze business requirements to produce relevant data architecture deliverables.
  • Resolve problems and provide ongoing support to production systems.
  • Maintain campus-specific data warehouse tables and ensure data integrity and security.
  • Maintain effective relationships with end users and IT for systems improvement.
  • Attend meetings and educational programs for professional growth.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient/member and staff information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in Information Technology.
  • At least three years' experience in Data Warehousing.
  • Experience with RDBMS tools and clinical databases preferred.
  • Expertise in abstracting clinical data from electronic medical records preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with analytics platforms like Tableau and Alteryx.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data warehousing best practices.
