About the position

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer at Providence is responsible for designing, creating, and managing business intelligence and analytics solutions that transform data into actionable insights. This role requires a strong background in data analysis, project management, and Agile methodologies, along with excellent communication skills. The developer will work extensively with SQL and Python to support database infrastructure and complex analytic processing, ultimately enhancing the organization's decision-making capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design and manage BI and analytics solutions to turn data into knowledge.
  • Develop advanced SQL and Python procedures to support database infrastructure.
  • Provide data interfaces with external databases and manage report production.
  • Assess business needs for new programming functionality and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure BI solutions meet organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Healthcare Administration.
  • 8 years of experience in programming using SQL.
  • 4 years of experience using data visualization software such as Tableau, Power BI, or SSRS.
  • Proven experience with database management and statistical representation of data.
  • Background in data warehouse design and data mining.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in a related field.
  • 4 years of experience programming using Python.
  • Experience with Snowflake and SSIS.
  • Healthcare or Health Insurance experience.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Agile methodologies.
