About the position

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for designing, creating, and managing business intelligence (BI) and analytics solutions that transform data into actionable insights. This role requires a strong background in data analysis, Agile methodologies, and project management, along with excellent communication skills. The BI Developer will develop advanced SQL and Python procedures to support the database infrastructure, facilitate complex analytic processing, and produce reports. The ultimate goal is to enhance business intelligence capabilities to enable informed decision-making within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and manage BI and analytics solutions.
• Develop advanced SQL and Python procedures for database infrastructure.
• Provide data interfaces with external databases and support report production.
• Assess business needs behind requests for new programming functionality.
• Enhance business intelligence capabilities to support informed decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Healthcare Administration.
• 8 years of experience in programming using SQL.
• 4 years of experience using data visualization software such as Tableau, Power BI, or SSRS.
• Proven experience with database management and statistical representation of data.
• Background in data warehouse design and data mining.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree in a related field.
• 4 years of experience programming using Python.
• 8 years of experience with SQL or Snowflake and SSIS.
• Experience in healthcare or health insurance.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Agile methodologies.
