About the position

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer with ADVANA at Kearney & Company is responsible for supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) in financial data integration and analysis. This role involves preparing financial reports, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance financial management analytics using the ADVANA tool. The position requires a strong analytical background and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review reprogramming and funds transfer actions within DoD.
• Provide support with the collection and integration of financial data, including data calls and analytic methods for reports and briefings.
• Support the submission quality check process for financial information and coordinate with agencies to resolve discrepancies.
• Review monthly financial data, monitor, reconcile, and report against plans, forecasts, and budget targets.
• Perform analysis to document financial execution for budget accounts and ensure accuracy in data integration into the ADVANA tool.
• Assist with the distribution and consolidation of RFIs from internal and external organizations.
• Help develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Compile data for audits and timely submission of congressional reports.

Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited college/university or 16 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a related field, or 16 years if no master's degree is held.
• Must possess a Secret clearance.
• Demonstrated experience using the DoD Advanced Analytics (Advana) tool.
• At least three years of experience with DoD financial management analytics and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand business and technical concepts quickly.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical requirements.
• Experience working directly with customers and managing expectations.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.

• Extensive experience in translating stakeholder requirements into executable solutions.
• Experience with Congressional supplemental funding requests.
