About the position

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer at Ardent Health Services will play a crucial role in supporting the enterprise's business intelligence and analytics needs. This position is focused on building new data models and extending existing ones to align with enterprise initiatives and goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing insights from data by creating accurate, reliable, and timely information, as well as advanced visualization dashboards and reporting tools. This role requires a wide range of technical competencies, including expertise in Power BI modeling and visualization, query languages, database architecture (ETL), and familiarity with various reporting technologies. In this position, the developer will write and maintain both functional and technical specifications, ensuring that all documentation is clear and comprehensive. They will also develop, maintain, and support ETL processes that load data from multiple sources into an enterprise structure data layer, automating these processes where possible. The developer will design and create reports and visualizations that drive actionable results, enabling stakeholders to quickly gain insights from the data. Additionally, the Senior Business Intelligence Developer will analyze code for problem resolution and performance optimizations, providing technical consulting and responding to error reports or questions as they arise. They will be expected to develop impactful dashboards using Power BI, study and analyze business requirements in the context of business intelligence, and design data models that transform raw data into meaningful insights. Strong data documentation practices will be essential, as will the ability to communicate complex information tactfully and effectively to various stakeholders. The developer will also be responsible for fostering relationships with business stakeholders and continually seeking opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain functional and technical specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in data sciences, healthcare administration, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance or Health Administration or related field or IT.
• 4+ years of Data Analytics experience.
• 4+ years of experience using SQL and DAX language.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Data certification preferred.
• Finance or operational experience preferred.
• Power BI, Oracle, SSMS, SAS, Microsoft BI Stack proficiency.
• Proficient with SharePoint, MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills, including ability to present ideas and concepts effectively.
• Mastery of relational databases preferred.
• Knowledge and application of other coding languages like Python, R preferred.
