Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to join our Finance-Dashboard/Reporting/Analytics team. This role is pivotal in developing and modifying Business Intelligence solutions that cater to finance-related content, specifically focusing on Managed Care Contracting, Revenue Cycle, and Compliance. The successful candidate will independently design data models for reporting and analytics, develop ETL processes for data management, and utilize various BI tools to meet the data needs of end users. This position is not just about technical skills; it also involves transforming data into valuable insights that support our Managed Care Contracting, Revenue Cycle, and Finance teams. The role includes implementing large and multiple development projects, functioning as a lead on these projects, and potentially leading teams while serving as a coach or mentor to other Business Intelligence Developers. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and security of institutional data while maintaining appropriate documentation for all development and modifications. You will also be expected to engage in problem-solving and complex analysis, utilizing multiple data sources to resolve issues and improve processes. The role requires a strong understanding of data warehousing, data marts, and business intelligence tools, as well as experience with ETL processes.
