About the position

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer at Northwest Bank will play a crucial role in enhancing the bank's business operations and customer satisfaction through the development of business intelligence solutions. This position requires collaboration with various teams to deliver projects that drive revenue generation and improve internal processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Microsoft technologies and a strong background in financial services, with responsibilities that include mentoring junior staff and adhering to regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to FDIC and FRB data regulatory guidelines for SDLC.
  • Design, develop, test and deploy ETL solutions, reports, etc. using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, Python, ADF, T-SQL and other languages and tools.
  • Import data from 3rd party sources to enhance client and banker experience.
  • Contribute to requirements refinement, analysis and design for projects.
  • Improve Data Environment for business partners by enhancing job efficiency and resolving defects.
  • Adhere to best practice development, testing, deployment and operations policies.
  • Work with DBAs to meet service level agreements and assist in defining SLAs.
  • Adhere to data quality standards, data governance standards, coding standards and SDLC.
  • Contribute to Data Democratization by designing and implementing complex user stories.
  • Maintain awareness of current data technology trends and recommend enhancements.
  • Write technical specifications for data integrations and solutions.
  • Create and maintain design and data flow diagrams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Development, Sciences, Mathematics, or Data Management.
  • 6-8 years of experience as a developer in banking.
  • 8-12 years of BI/Analytics development experience using Microsoft technology stack or equivalent technologies.
  • 2-6 years of experience writing SQL statements for relational database management systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming using C#, Java or similar languages.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS and equivalent technologies.
  • Experience with cloud ecosystems like Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services.
  • Familiarity with agile environments and the Scrum framework.
