About the position

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer (SBID) is responsible for developing and implementing complex data projects using T-SQL, Microsoft SQL Server technologies, and Business Intelligence best practices. This role focuses on creating analytics models and reports that support critical business decisions, ultimately contributing to the health and wellness of the community served by the organization.

Responsibilities

• Leads and implements projects to develop new systems and tools for gathering and analyzing BI data.
• Mentors the Business Intelligence team to understand departmental roles and needs.
• Collaborates with IT and business stakeholders to develop metrics, reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
• Creates processes and reports using SQL Server technologies, including ETL and OLAP model development.
• Manages the BI reporting development life cycle, including requirement gathering and testing.
• Identifies data quality issues and coordinates root cause analysis and fixes post-implementation.
• Provides project status updates and prepares monthly project scorecard reports.
• Maintains professional knowledge through workshops and professional societies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or ten years of experience in IT.
• Ten years of hands-on experience with SQL Server technologies, including T-SQL and ETL (SSIS).
• Ten years of experience in developing Analytics/OLAP Cubes and Tabular Models (SSAS).
• Ten years of experience in report development using SQL Server Reporting Services.
• Five years of experience in analytical reporting using Microsoft Power BI.

• Experience with cloud data warehouse platforms.
• Experience in translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience in business process mapping for data and analytics solutions.
• Experience preparing data for Data Science and Machine Learning.
• Knowledge of Azure Data & Analytics PaaS Services.
• Microsoft Certifications related to Power BI and Azure.
• EPIC Certifications in Tapestry Modules.
• Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Quality tools.
