About the position

Chen Tech, LLC is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to join our team in Miami Gardens, Florida. In this role, you will work closely with various business units and technical teams to understand, develop, improve, and maintain Business Intelligence (BI) systems. Your primary responsibility will be to transform data into actionable metrics, automated reports, and dashboards that enhance decision-making across all levels of the organization. You will leverage your strong data management skills to communicate effectively with internal clients and ensure that the BI systems meet their needs. As a Senior Business Intelligence Developer, you will develop a deep familiarity with a variety of data sources, including transactional databases, data warehouses, internal tools, and external integrations. You will design and integrate data pipelines to enhance our data warehouse and data mart using ETL tools such as Oracle ODI, SSIS, SSRS, Alteryx, and Informatica. Your focus will be on ensuring data quality and efficiency through established Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile practices. You will be responsible for specifying, analyzing, designing, implementing, and testing BI solutions that align with business needs. This includes designing interactive dashboards and delivering insightful data reports using BI platforms like Qlik Sense, QlikView, Qlik NPrinting, OBIEE, and Power BI. Your work will empower decision-making across the organization by creating data visualizations, KPIs, and trends. In addition to technical responsibilities, you will take ownership of data quality and integrity, proactively identifying issues and coordinating the implementation of necessary fixes. You will also provide hands-on guidance and facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions for junior team members, ensuring that skills and expertise are continuously developed within the team. Collaboration with stakeholders and business analysts will be essential to translate business needs into actionable data solutions, and you will be expected to communicate technical concepts clearly to bridge the gap between data and business.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with business units and technical teams to understand, develop, improve, and maintain BI systems.

• Design and integrate data pipelines for enhanced data warehouse and data mart using ETL tools.
• Ensure data quality and efficiency through SDLC and Agile practices.
• Specify, analyze, design, implement, and test BI solutions to meet business needs.
• Design interactive dashboards and deliver data insight reports using BI platforms.
• Take ownership of data quality and integrity, proactively identifying issues and coordinating fixes.
• Provide hands-on guidance and facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to junior team members.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and business analysts to understand business needs and translate them into actionable data solutions.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly, bridging the gap between data and business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Analytics, or a closely related field.
• Three (3) years of experience in a similar position in Analytics.
• Three (3) years of experience designing and integrating data pipelines using ETL tools such as Oracle ODI, SSIS, SSRS, Alteryx, and Informatica.
• Three (3) years of experience designing interactive dashboards and delivering data insight reports using BI platforms like Qlik Sense, QlikView, Qlik NPrinting, OBIEE, and Power BI.
• Experience performing enhanced data warehouse optimization, including query optimization and indexing.
• Experience implementing data governance policies and procedures to maintain data integrity and security.
• Experience delivering data summaries and performing data profiling to identify anomalies and provide recommendations.
• Experience developing and automating routine data tasks and processes using SQL, Shell Scripting, and Python.
• Experience maintaining and administrating Business Intelligence Applications, including system level security and performance monitoring.
• Experience documenting data pipelines, reports, and processes for clarity and knowledge sharing.
