About the position

The Global Operations Group at Lam Research is a pivotal part of the organization, integrating information systems, facilities, supply chain, logistics, and high-volume manufacturing to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of global business operations. As a Senior Business Operations Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting Lam's mission to deliver industry-leading solutions with speed and efficiency while fostering resilient and profitable growth. This position is part of the Global Operations Quality and Safety team, where you will collaborate with various functional groups to identify and manage data analytics and system solutions that drive operational excellence across logistics, supply chain, order fulfillment, and manufacturing operations. In this role, you will be responsible for performing detailed business analysis, developing insights, and presenting solutions that enhance operational excellence, particularly in global operations safety and quality. You will create Functional Analytics Roadmaps that align with the strategic objectives of the business function and research new technologies or methodologies to improve business operations and maintain a competitive edge. Your participation in the governance and prioritization of projects will be essential, as will your ability to develop resource plans based on the roadmap you create. As the functional single point of contact (SPOC), you will deliver on the roadmap and business needs, manage projects related to new business system solutions, and handle future change requests for existing systems or data analytics dashboards. You will also design and implement standard industry practices for the development and deployment of data analytics and software applications, and perform ad-hoc analysis for functional stakeholders as required. Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed business analysis and develop insights and solutions for operational excellence in global operations safety and quality.
  • Develop Functional Analytics Roadmaps that support the strategic objectives of the business function.
  • Research and recommend new technologies or methodologies to improve business operations and competitive advantage.
  • Participate in the governance and prioritization of projects across the business function.
  • Develop resource plans for the function(s) based on the roadmap.
  • Act as a functional single point of contact (SPOC) to deliver roadmap/business needs.
  • Manage projects for new business system solutions and future change requests to existing systems or data analytics dashboards.
  • Design and implement standard industry practices for the development and deployment of data analytics and software applications.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis for functional stakeholders as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, or related field; or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering.
  • Expert in Database and Data warehouse technology (Azure Synapse/SQL Server/SAP HANA).
  • Experience with Data Analysis/Data Profiling and Visualization tools (Power BI).
  • Experience in Stakeholder management, requirement gathering, and delivery cycle.
  • Experience in Agile/SCRUM process and development using any tools.
  • Experience in Exploratory Data Analysis using SQL/Python.
  • Ability to transform complex datasets into clear, compelling visual representations.
  • Experience in project requirements gathering and converting business requirements into analytical & technical specifications.
  • Knowledge in performing Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, able to communicate cross-functionally.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and ambiguous environment.
