About the position

The Senior Business Operations Manager for HR at AWS is a pivotal role focused on enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness within the organization. This position is responsible for driving strategic initiatives, managing complex data systems, and ensuring high-quality deliverables that support AWS's national security customers. Responsibilities

  • Drive operational success by developing and executing work-backwards plans for key strategic deliverables.
  • Collaborate with partner teams to maintain reporting dashboards, ensuring data integrity across HR, security, recruiting, and business teams.
  • Own programs and strategic partnerships to transition processes from scrappy solutions to stable ones.
  • Streamline the compensation bonus program for efficiency and timely delivery.
  • Drive consistency in operational metrics across HR, recruiting, and business teams.
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to build reporting and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Partner with peer organizations to align goals and share best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience in HR shared services, IT services, operations, and/or compliance
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and data cleansing.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2+ years of experience driving process improvements
  • 2+ years of experience with data visualization and reporting tools
  • Experience working cross-functionally with tech teams
  • 3+ years of experience developing operating and long-range plans
  • Advanced writing skills
  • Strong analytical thinking skills and proven ability to influence others.
