About the position

The Product Discovery and Promotion (PDP) organization within Netflix Product is seeking a seasoned business operations professional to join the team. This role is pivotal in enabling PDP to effectively accomplish key business goals by assessing and implementing smart, effective, and impact-driven business operations. The focus will be on minimizing friction, overcoming challenges, and achieving results faster and more consistently. As the Global Senior Business Operations Manager, you will be heavily involved in defining and driving the global PDP rhythm of the business and key business beats such as annual planning, quarterly business reviews, and the annual resource planning and budgeting process. This role requires collaboration with a network of Regional and Functional PDP Business Operations Managers across the globe to implement and roll out these business operations rhythms and initiatives. You will act as a thought partner to the PDP leadership team, proactively identifying and addressing business operations-related gaps and needs through strategic problem-solving. Your responsibilities will include designing and delivering solutions that address business operations gaps for the PDP Global business, collaborating with key business stakeholder units, and connecting with other Business Operations roles within and outside PDP to share learning and best practices. This position requires a strong business mindset, the ability to navigate ambiguous situations, and the capacity to influence without authority to promote alignment across teams. Responsibilities

  • Define the PDP Global Rhythm of the Business and ensure alignment with the overall Product rhythm of the business.
  • Drive the execution of key business beats in PDP, including annual planning and quarterly business reviews.
  • Act as a thought partner to the PDP leadership team, identifying and addressing business operations-related gaps and needs.
  • Design and deliver solutions that address business operations gaps for the PDP Global business.
  • Collaborate with the PDP leadership team on setting, refining, and tracking strategic global priorities and initiatives.
  • Work with key business stakeholder units to ensure alignment on PDP strategies, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Connect with other Business Operations roles to share learning and best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in establishing and driving business operational processes in a global or matrix setting.
  • Strong business mindset with a good understanding of how a well-oiled business machine operates.
  • Experience acting as a strategic partner to senior leaders, with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate between details and big pictures, and shine in ambiguous situations.
  • Experience in using data and metrics to drive business process improvements.
  • 8-10 years of experience in driving change management across complex organizational structures.
  • 8-10 years of experience in driving complex program or project management, or consulting experience.
  • Strong judgment and decisiveness when dealing with timely, deadline-driven issues.
