The Senior Business Systems Analyst at Highmark Health plays a crucial role in supporting various analytical aspects of the application product life cycle. This position involves capability enablement with cross-team dependencies within a product scope. The analyst will utilize significant judgment and discretion to collaborate with customers on complex issues, aiming to understand capability needs, gather project specifications, create business cases, and conduct cost sheet analyses. The role requires translating high-level business needs into detailed requirements for new capabilities, as well as managing change requests and enhancements for existing capabilities. Additionally, the analyst will analyze data to identify business problems, trends, or opportunities for process improvements, create and execute test cases, provide root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans. Ensuring the delivery of customer needs and maintaining quality delivery is paramount. The position also involves identifying, documenting, and resolving risks, defects, and issues, while analyzing market trends for competitive insights to correlate into business value statements. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will leverage functional and organizational knowledge to mentor Associate and Intermediate Business Systems Analysts. This role may lead project teams or actively participate as a subject matter expert (SME) on moderately complex projects that are cross-functional and may involve regulatory risk exposure, customer service, and financial impacts. The analyst will act as the face to the customer, resolving very complex issues that may involve multiple systems while understanding the potential regulatory risk exposure and customer service and financial impacts. A deep understanding of the end-to-end process and potential integration issues is essential for developing moderately complex new enhancements and applications. In this position, the analyst will take a lead role with customers, Software Engineers, Architects, Capability Managers, and other team members to capture capability needs and drive quality business solutions on complex issues. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining deliverables such as business vision, requirements, testing plans, testing schedules, testing scenarios, testing outcomes, user task analysis, wireframing, usability testing, personalization for different clients, and user interface design. The analyst will participate in the full software development life cycle, actively taking a lead role on agile scrum teams in various capacities, including Scrum Master, Business Technical Analyst, User Interface Designer, Capability Manager, or Tester, depending on experience and need. Compliance with required standards and obtaining all necessary approvals throughout the project lifecycle is also a critical responsibility.
