Intuit's Finance Data Governance Team is seeking a Senior Data Governance Analyst to support all finance data governance and management functions. This role is crucial for ensuring that the finance data ecosystem operates efficiently and complies with various regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data and hands-on experience leading large-scale data management implementations, programming, and change management in this space. As an individual contributor, the Senior Data Governance Analyst will engage with process owners and business data stewards across finance organizations and collaborate closely with technology partners. The successful candidate must demonstrate good business sense, a solid understanding of finance business processes, project management skills, and excellent communication abilities. They will be expected to make data-driven recommendations and work effectively with diverse groups. The role requires the ability to use quantitative and qualitative analytical methodologies and tools, as well as the capability to quickly research, understand, and document new processes and requirements. These foundational skills are essential for success in this position. The responsibilities of the Senior Data Governance Analyst include deeply understanding Intuit's finance data stakeholders, their data needs, the data ecosystem, tech stack, and data products. They will also need to be familiar with data management practices and applicable international and financial service sector-specific data compliance, controls, and risk management requirements, such as SOX controls and report validation, IRS 7216, GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA. The analyst will support business process owners in meeting data compliance requirements, including developing data control statements and requirements, designing and operationalizing data control activities, and continuous issue monitoring and remediation. Additionally, the analyst will collaborate closely with process owners, data stewards, and tech partners to implement and operationalize finance data governance principles and frameworks. This includes defining, implementing, enforcing, and monitoring finance data governance policies and standard operating procedures, such as data cataloging, metadata lifecycle management, data access governance, and data quality and issue management. They will provide hands-on observations, maturity assessments, and program roadmap development for all finance data management areas, identifying opportunities to improve finance data management and operations to meet regulatory requirements and industry-leading practices. The role also involves supporting finance data request governance intake and request lifecycle management, as well as data governance metrics and analytical reporting. The analyst will contribute to Finance's data literacy program by developing a finance data knowledge base, creating training content, conducting communication outreach, and raising awareness. They will support finance data stakeholders, such as data consumers and partners, with a customer-focused approach and assist in Finance Data Strategy projects with data technical expertise and project management leadership.
